You open your eyes to a vast dark-colored room. The walls are adorned with images of skulls, each shaping their angered mouths in anguish and sarcastic pain. A slow moving smoke covers the floor and almost snakes around your legs as you look on ahead. You are unsure if you're dreaming or not so you pinch yourself to make sure. It twinges, you begin to wander about the halls of the complex. As you look around the room, you slowly sigh with an edge of panic on your breath. You see no doors, no windows, not even a landmark to know where you are. Near the end is a long hallway, stretching to an unknown length. With anxious thoughts moving through your mind, you slowly make your way down the hallway. With each step you take, your footsteps echo down the path. Its walls adorned with dim-lit candles; each one seeming to brighten as you become closer. What seems like hours go by. Maybe even days; you just can't tell anymore. Eventually you hear a sound at the end of the hall. It sounded like a woman giggling. Immediately you begin to run toward the end of the hall, faster and faster as the laughter grows louder. You run until you finally reach the end of the hall, hidden behind a large door. Just as you reach for the door, the sound of laughter abruptly stops and you hear a woman speak:

"Come in."

The door slides open before you reach it and fills the halls with its creaking echo. Standing at the end of stage, you meet the source of the laughter. She stands before you under the lights of the stage, her curvaceous body and blue skin accentuated under their glow. A pair of sleek, black wings jut from her back partially folded and a long blue tail curves curiously from behind her. She looks back at you, her amber eyes piercing your gaze as if she stares through you. A mane of flowing silver hair gently floats behind her as she walks about the stage before you. While you are at first hesitant, her gaze presents a feeling of genuine calm and contentedness, while her walk carries a feeling of exotic grace. You aren't entirely sure if this is a dream or not, but now couldn't be a better time to find out. MuchaFresh, created by the talented *Sabtastic, presents us with an illustration of this situation, while stapling the artist's definite artistic skill.

To begin with, the detailing on the female subject in the piece is very good here. Subtle curve lines and her overall appearance show a clear sign of growth in the artist's skills. Even the texture of her skin with scant uses of freckles really brings out that much more personality to the overall designs. The use of lighting and shading carries a similar addition of quality and depth to the composition as well. The bright use of colors really bring out a lot of personality in the piece while at the same time maintaining a sense of winking unease of the overall setting.

While there's a lot I like about this, there are some things that you can do to improve on it a bit. For example, you could expand on the composition and add more to the scene itself. Perhaps add a foreground and setting, even some spectator silhouettes in the foreground, as it would bring out that much more depth to the design. You could even try to touch up some of the light reflectivity on the subject. Sharpen up the light's edges a little more since the light source should be stronger than it appears. Also touch up a few of the outlines of the subject’s structure as some are thinner than others. Keep experiment with what you have here, because I know you can really expand on the composition that much more.

MuchaFresh has a good design style to it and very vivid colors. However there's so much more potential within that could be brought forward with another revisit. Perhaps a later update of the character's detail or even expansion of the setting, but as it stands, it’s still a well-done and designed piece further showing off the artist's skills. At first I thought those were hearts intermingled with the skulls in the background. That woulda been awesome. Still, absolutely gorgeous work, her eyes are especially fantastic

As for CoH, there's been a dip in activity while people wait to play Diablo 3, but there are a few servers with networks and circles that help prevent solo-blandness.
