I loved playing this when visiting my uncle, i could only play the first 3 stages at best. I really want to see what these ships do. R-Type needs to get re-released, it'll be a great series of XBLA and what ever the PS3 equivelent is. You've drawn these out very well, especially as the details you've done can't be seen very well in game.

This game had such a great array of ships. I've never seen the gold one (but it seems to be unlocked by Hard mode I assume, and I am terrible at Fine Motion. Lol)

Whoever designed these ships in the first instance was onto a winner . Every time I've drawn or painted a spaceship, there's been some element of the R-Type ship in there.
