Okay okay, so yes its the old livery....and this practice test turned out to be the best of the photos I caught between these palm trees.....you don't see many portrait style plane photos....I really like how it turned out!Boeing 737 - Southwest Airlines - KTPA - Jan 2015

Wow, this is absolutely beautiful! The positioning and the colors both! How do you get these pictures of airplanes, by the way? Were you actually out there near the runways? I was in a lot of airports on the trip I mentioned, but I could never get a photo with this much closeness and clarity, and in this sort of position, from where I was at the windows.

A lot of airports (in the US anyways) do have listed spots (by spotters) that are good places to watch planes come in close. Some airports don't like you spotting so not all of them allow it, but those that do usually are pretty awesome about it and have either suggestions on websites or have official spotting parks near the runways (example would be Dallas Fort Worth, they have an official spotting park which is REALLY cool! I spent 3 hours of my layover there the one day!). Tampa has a small park at the end of one of it's runways where I got this shot. Also helps to have a nice camera with a long range lens :3

(It's okay, I have been behind too! My mother's been sick and I've had little energy lately, partially from worry and partially also from feeling pretty bad some days myself. 
Oh, I see! I'm not sure if any of the airports I was in (Memphis Tennessee, Atlanta Georgia, Amsterdam, and Rome) had that, and I would have been worried about straying from the group too much to find one of those places if so, but if I have a slower trip on my own someday, I'd probably like to try plane spotting too!

There are many places usually near larger airports you can get close up to them
