Description This years I had been asked to partecipate to Inktober by the admin (and friend) of the FB page Saint Seiya 4ever France. The theme of the event was obviously the univwerse of the anime and manga "Saint Seiya" by Masami Kurumada.
I've always liked the idea that stands behind Inktober but alas, my friends and watchers will surely know that ink is not my medium of choice. I thought about it a lot and decided then to partecipate but in my own way: I would have used just graphite with no more than a touch of colour, as it should be using ink. I also tried to follow the official prompt list.
I'm not going to post here all the drawings, some day I was not so inspired or just hadn't enough time. If you wish to see them all you're free to take a look at my instagram profile @sonia.saeleth

Day 7 - "Exhausted"
Cygnus Hyoga wins the fight against his teacher Aquarius Camus

One of the saddest moment of the whole series, one of the best episode ever.

A single pencil, well used, can create great drawings like the one I see right now. It is surprising that only with a pencil, you have made a beautiful composition, in which the result of the combat between master and pupil is shown. No doubt I liked how you drew the Aquarius armor, in this case, the shoulder pad, which highlights the brightness, shadows and metallic effects of the golden piece. Likewise, Camus is crestfallen and very much in agreement with his exhausted state; I almost seem to see a Camus who has trouble breathing and standing, clinging to the little time he has left of life. Hyoga on the other hand, looks athletic and beefy, which is appreciated enough not to wear his bronze armor. I see a wounded and battered Hyoga, product of the wounds that he has suffered in this last fight. His position in the same way shows his tiredness. A great piece without a doubt. Excellent work!
