Last years I had been asked to partecipate to Inktober by the admin (and friend) of the FB page Saint Seiya 4ever France. The theme of the event was obviously the univwerse of the anime and manga "Saint Seiya" by Masami Kurumada. My friends and watchers will surely know that ink is not my medium of choice. I decided to partecipate but in my own way: using just graphite with no more than a touch of colour, as it should be using ink. I also tried to follow the official prompt list.I'm not going to post here all the drawings, some day I was not so inspired or just hadn't enough time. Oh, another magnificent drawing of your talented hand. This time, you bring a true classic: Seiya wearing the first version of his Pegasus armor. It draws my attention that their clothes are gnawed and their armor has cracks, which sends me immediately to the battle of Seiya in the twelve temples. If I look more closely, the character's eyes look dead, which would not only affirm my assumption, but also gives the plus that Seiya is in the final battle against Gemini Saga. Seiya's posture transmits a lot: from his enormous internal power, to his indomitable will to never surrender. The anatomy is perfectly proportioned and its armor is faithfully recreated. Especially I emphasize the hands, since they are difficult to draw, but you have managed to get it, as well as reminding me with a certain nostalgia the hand postures that the master Araki drew. Excellent work!
