Yesterday, Monday the 2nd of November, our beloved rat Krümel died.. She had a respitory illness for quite a long time and in the last weeks it got worse. On Sunday we took her to an Animal Clinic to put her to sleep. The vet we had keeps rats for about 15 years and told us about a medicine that worked great for her rats. Krümel was still very active so we gave it a try... Just a day later (monday) while she was eating she swallowed a piece of food and got very bad difficulties in breathing.. There was nothing to do anymore, we even called the Clinic for help but they could only tell us to immedietly search for a vet. Unfortunetly I was in school and my boyfriend who was by her side doesn't have a drivers license

She was such a calm and cuddly little rat which didn't deserve this kind of death... but still she is in a better place now...
