So I was working pretty much right up until the deadline, but I finished it!
I made this piece as an entry for this contest:Β www.youtube.com/watch?v=isJdURβ¦
The challenge was to take a character from a book/movie/TV show/Video Game and to jack them up to their maximum possible strength. I decided to do Sans the Skeleton from Undertale, but I also didn't want to alter his original design too drastically. So instead I maxed out his special attack - it has a full skeletal body instead of just being a disembodied dragon skull.
Honestly, there's a lot more that I would have liked to have added to this. I probably would have done a couple more layers of shading/highlighting on the Blaster, and added a few finer details - maybe having Chara/Frisk look a little more beat up and so on. But that's what I get for procrastinating on an art contest entry and having to rush to meet the deadline.
I referenced cat and dog skeletons for the Gaster Blaster's body.

I'm sure there's probably some severe consequences when a monster absorbs a human soul. We do know from in-game info at least that when a monster absorbs a human soul, control over the body is split between the monster and the human souls. If the human souls aren't feeling cooperative, it might be more trouble than it's worth to try and use them.
If nothing else, it's an interesting allegory for how much more powerful a relationship between people can be if they're communicating well and working towards the same goal. Kinda like Fusion in Steven Universe, if you're at all familiar with that show.
