Hmm, I'm not so sure about how well the second face represents the corresponding emoji. I've always thought of that as a bored expression, while the girl's face reflects more of a sadness or uncertainty.

I thought the very same thing. There's slight variations in the eyes and mouth to mimic different expressions, but as a whole I don't think this delivers a strong representation of expression. I think most of that is simply because in almost every piece, the face is painted in the same way, either a smile in some or the expressionless 'cute' or shy look in the rest. And in general while Yue's strength would be rendering, adding character and depth to the characters is the biggest downfall, also as the heart slowly fades from her work as each fan art and nude are made.

I feel like the upper right one and the lower right one don't portray the emotion as well as all the other ones, the upper right one looks more hurt than unimpressed (maybe because her eyebrows are lifted in the middle?), and the lower right one looks a little confused. Maybe because her eyes aren't narrowed which usually happens when someone is angry. I'm not trying to bash on your drawings or anything, god knows I wouldn't ever be able to draw as well as you, but that's just my opinion on it.

I'm confused about the left icon from the last row, is it supposed to be crying? i always thought about that icon more like "owh man, this sucks" kind of thing.
