Question: Why do so many artists start off in gray?? Also, I don't know how to access the full tutorial. Is it on YouTube?

It's for checking the values, make sure the contrast is strong enough. It helps when trying to get a good balance of light and dark. Color is a distraction, so having it greyscale makes it simpler and easier to see. I have a little tutorial on it if it helps As for Sakimichan's tutorial, it's on her Patreon page , but you have to pay for it.

why? because it's too know where the shadows are and if they are correct. And then they start coloring. And her tutorial are for her patrons. You must buy this.
