This drawing was done back in 1986. It has always been my most favorite piece.I think everyone at one time or another has either owned a cat that looked like this, or knew someone who had a cat like this.
When I used to screen print my drawings onto tee shirts, this out sold every dog design I had.
Cats rule!!

One of the things I do differently than other pencil artist is, I NEVER EVER use a shading stomp. I use a kneaded eraser to shade. I lay a layer of pencil down, and then pick it up with the eraser...... continue until you get the tone you desire. Simple and clean. Makes your drawings look like prints.

takes a lot of work, will and time, as i see. respect!!
i rely on senses while drawing, using no eraser (i just don't allow myself using it, not anymore, i'd ruin the whole thing).
