Thanx for the tutorial, except I keep getting the error: "Line in File exceeds 255 Characters"
Have you seen this error before? And if so do you know how to right it?

hello , am glad you liked my tutorial , and about the problem of importing an .ai file to 3ds max , to fix it you should export the file from illustrator in "illustrator8" format in order to be readable in 3d max , and ive pointed to this in the step "3" in this tutorial
(the .ai file should be exported in "Illustrator 8" format in order to be readable in 3D studio Max ,)
anyway i hope you try it , and show me your final result
best Regards.

No other adobe illustrator versions will work? I am running CS2 that could be why it isn't working but it doesn't seem that the programs would hind it for that small of a difference

i thought the 3d->illustrator will be somewhat more automated and not just using render as guide nice effect tho
maybe u should try some line rendering and path tracing them in il?

thank you so much for your comment mate , and about the 3d->illustrator tutorial , it would be really more helpful , but you know most of people knows how to vectorize a shape . but no one knows how to do it in 3d with accurate dimentions , and your solution about line rendering and path tracing , is really smarter than my tutorial , i may update this tutorial with a cridet for you
thanks
