I crawled back away from the creature, terrified, my back against the side of the tent. What was this thing? He looked like a fox, but... he looked savage... and wild.
The werefox moved in closer, stooping low as his head entered my tent and a small yelp escape my lips. I wanted to run, to scream for Aster, but I was seized with terror; I didn't know why he was here or what he wanted. He moved closer, with most of his upper torso in my tent. His hand reached out and grasped my leg.
My mind blanked out and a scream was rising up, but I was dragged forward and his hand clamped down on my mouth, holding it in. I looked up into his eyes, they glowed a deep blue, like the ice of the deep Antarctic. They were... hypnotic in a way, and I gasped, clenching my eyes shut as a wave of pain ripped across my brain and I remembered everything; I remembered hearing the howl of a wolf; I remembered tumbling down a hill; I remembered the fight between two great beasts I thought were Lycanthropes; and I remembered this fox, his eyes, the way he stared at me, and I remembered the kiss and how he had bit me.
All of these memories flashing across the inside of my eyelids as I felt myself being pushed back into the tent. I opened my eyes, staring straight into the eyes of the werefox as he moved further in. Now most of his body was in my tent, save for his tail and the back of his legs. I shuddered and went to grasp my shoulder, but his hand reached out and grabbed mine, moving it away. I squirmed against his hold; I didn't know what to do. I was too afraid to cry out for help.
Slowly the werefox set my hand down and pushed me back up against the wall of the tent, slipping completely inside the tent. I was both terrified and curious, the two feelings waging war inside me, both coming to a screeching halt when the werefox grasped my shirt and began sliding it up my torso, exposing my stomach and chest, causing me to blush. His actions were gentle, but I didn't doubt he would get rough if I resisted.
He pulled my shirt higher and higher until it covered my face and I gasped, the tugging stinging the shoulder that he had bitten. I had to move my arms up, the shirt sliding off, which he tossed aside as if it were nothing more than an inconvenience. Here I was, pinned under a huge werefox, with only my jeans providing me any protection. He leaned down, his jaws opening, and I could see his gleaming sharp teeth. I gasped sharply, remembering the pain of his teeth as they bit into my shoulder, and I struggled. "N-no...” I felt like I was going to have a heart attack as he descended; I was certain he was going to bite me again. It surprised me when he pressed his nose against my stomach, the coldness of it a sharp contrast to the heat radiating from the rest of his body, and an instinctual cry slipped from my lips.
The werefox slowly dragged his nose up my belly, the air rushing up as he breathed in my scent. I whimpered, remembering that this is how he'd acted last time right before he bit me, and I shivered, waiting for the bite I was sure to come. But it didn't. Instead, a small moan escaped my lips when his large tongue slipped out from his jaws, landing just above my navel and moving up. A deeper blush spread across my face as he slowly slid his tongue up, getting my fur hot and slick with his saliva.
I stared down as his tongue slowly worked its way up to my chest, teasing my fur and skin in a tender and playful manner. It was so strange, but it felt... wonderful, and another small moan escaped my lips when his tongue ran up my neck, pushing softly into the flesh. I honestly didn't know how to react. My mind was losing its touch with reality, wanting to give in to this pleasure. The werefox leaned down, pressing his large, muscled body against me, his body sending waves of heat through me, and I almost moaned again when he brought his face up to mine and leaned in for a kiss. The spark that shot through my body when his lips met mine made my body burn with energy. I didn't understand why his touch brought this out of me.
A soft groan rose up in my throat, but it got caught there when the werefox pushed his tongue into my mouth. It practically wiped my mind of any real thought, lighting up my body like a bonfire, and a moan rippled up from my body. My hands reached up, wanting to feel the heat of his body against my hands, to embrace him and give in to what he wanted, but it was cut short with a gasp from outside.
"Samuel! Are you alright? Who the hell do you think you are mauling my bro?" The werefox broke the kiss, and a deep menacing growl made his chest rumble powerfully. In my haze, I'd barely recognized Aster's voice, but the growl from the werefox pulled me back into focus almost immediately. I reached up, placing my hand on the werefox's shoulder, feeling the hot flesh, the strong tense muscle. The werefox's head leaned down, and as he stared at me in the eyes, I almost lost my will to speak.
"P-Please... don't hurt Aster... He is my friend." I held my breath as his eyes bore into my own. I felt like he was testing me in some way. Eventually, he began turning away, but not before I saw what looked like a smile, and he took off, disappearing into the darkness of the forest beyond. My breath let out and I panted softly. I heard the rustling of the tent and saw Aster's face moving into my field of vision. Staring down at me he took in my hot slick fur and the massive blush on my face, a look of fear and concern for me clear as day to see.
"Bro... what... what was that thing doing to you?" I shrugged my shoulders, trying to settle my breathing, the redness of my face slowly returning to normal.
"I... he... I don't know. I thought he was going to hurt me... but... he... he kissed me." Aster's face had an incredulous look on it as he took in this information; I could see he was struggling with the idea.
"Bro... he could have killed you. That wasn't just some guy who came in to meet you; that was a wild beast." I shook my head, almost speaking up about my idea that it had been a werefox, but I decided against it, knowing how skeptical Aster was of such mythological ideas.
"I'm fine Aster, he didn't hurt me. Honest... well..." Aster sat down next to me and helped me sit up, a definite amount of concern for me visible in his gaze.
"What? What did he do?" I sighed. I’d have to tell him eventually, with my memory of last night back, though I knew he wouldn't like what I had to say.
"Well... he was the one that did this to me." I placed my hand on my bandaged shoulder. "He bit me when I encountered him yesterday night."
"He bit you?!" I winced hearing the anger in his voice. "Why didn't you tell me?" I looked away, knowing how upset he was.
"I couldn't.... remember until a little while ago... when he appeared in front of my tent." I felt a cool shirt laid down on my legs, and I looked down and picked it up.
"You need to get that on and then start packing up. We are leaving. Now."
I looked up at him, hurt and confusion in my eyes. "Why do we have to leave? He didn't really hurt me. It'll be fine. Please-- I don't want to leave yet."
Aster shook his head, his shoulder set tightly, and I knew that he wasn't going to be listening to anything I had to say. "Samuel he bit you, don't you understand that? He sank his teeth into your shoulder."
I looked down. I knew Aster was really angry, he almost never called me by my name unless he was really upset, but was it directed at me? Or at what had happened? "But... but he didn't hurt me this time..."
Aster grasped my unhurt shoulder and I looked up at him. "Do you know for sure if he wouldn't have hurt you in given the chance?"
I opened my mouth to speak, but I closed it again. Truth is, I didn't know if that werefox would have hurt me, but... the way he looked at me, the way he treated me... it felt friendly and romantic.
"We have to leave because I can't be sure that he won't come back. And what if he drags you off next time? Or what if he kills you?" Aster's words stung, but as much as I wanted to believe otherwise, I knew Aster had a point. Aster would put his life on the line to protect me, even if it meant making decisions that made me sad or angry with him.
"Alright... we'll leave..." Aster nodded briefly before leaving my tent, leaving me there as I slipped the shirt back on and began rolling up my sleeping bag. I felt conflicted about leaving. I'd just got here, and earlier we'd had so much fun exploring... I wanted to stay longer, but I knew Aster would just as soon drag me out of here if I tried to. I crawled out of my tent and stowed my sleeping bag into my suitcase. Looking up, I was surprised to see Aster had already packed up his sleeping bag and tent and had begun moving towards me.
"Here let me help you..." Aster moved to my tent and pulled up the stakes effortlessly before he began disassembling my tent. It didn't take him long to take it apart and pack it up. I took the now compacted tent from him and placed it in my suitcase before closing it and standing up. Aster returned to his own things, picking up the cooler and setting on his shoulder. I really admired how strong he was, not just physically, but he had the strength of will to make hard choices even if I didn't always agree with them. He opened his suitcase and grabbed the map and flashlight and handed them to me. "Since I can't carry all of this and walk us back, I need you to guide us okay?" I looked down at the flashlight and map in my hand, then back up at him and I nodded.
"Alright...” I picked up my suitcase and turned on the flashlight, shining it into the darkness of the woods until I found the main trail and began walking.
The walk down the trail seemed to stretch on for hours. Neither of us spoke. I didn't know what to say, and I had a feeling Aster was facing a similar problem. In the darkness it took longer for travel down the path. I had to stop and check the map constantly to make sure I didn't take a wrong turn.
Eventually our trek led us back to the cabin I'd first stopped at when arriving, the light was on, and so I walked up the stairs of the porch, Aster following close behind. I set my suitcase down and knocked on the door. There was a bit of shuffling inside and the pop of a latch before the door opened and the wolf stepped out.
"Hello there, what brings you back here so late?"
I sighed, looking him in the eyes. "Unfortunately... we have to leave... much earlier than expected...” I trailed off when the wolf looked up and down my body, and I blushed a little when I heard the sharp intake of breath through his nose. I'd felt like he was examining me like I'd shown up on his doorstep naked. "I... what are you... doing? Look; I just want to give this map back so we can go."
I stretched out my hand, the map leaning out towards him, but he didn't take it. Instead he gazed at me with... perhaps a look of fascination.
"I'm sorry to say, that while your friend Aster there can leave whenever he wants, you, I am afraid, are not allowed to leave the park." I stared at the wolf, confusion clouded my eyes as Aster set his things down and placed his hand on my shoulder.
"What do you mean he can't leave?"
