Description
I had alot of fun making this, frustrating also at times but well worth the effort I think. (I counted 1373 pieces in this!!Modelled part in LeoCAD and part in C4D (cos I found LeoCAD to be a bit shitty at times) then rendered in C4D. I used Photoshop just to arrange the images and add text. I apologise for the size, I did reduce it but I felt it lost a lot of impact and think the details got a little lost.
I need to give a big thanks to for,
- 1. Bringing LeoCAD to my attention (check out his Lego Truck ) &
- 2. His help with Stochastic lighting.
EDIT: New images without grainy shadows (Thanks ~L-X again

yeah, the rebellion's emblem looks kinda like a trident.
but that doesn't make the y-wing any less impressive!

hi nice work but you have to use phong tag of c4d for smooth surfaces on spheric or cyrindrical shapes

just wow i'm so impressed by the detail! did u model each piece and align it?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
sam46 In reply to SPEARdesign [2007-02-20 19:57:38 +0000 UTC]
I followed the original Lego instructions and used every piece, even the ones inside that aren't visible. I didn't model/make each block if thats what you mean, that was LeoCAD but had to align everything in c4d to get it right. Thanks for your comment.

sick! i thought you'd modeled it ALL! and that software is free! dam... aligning took a while? are there tools for that in C4D?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
sam46 In reply to SPEARdesign [2007-02-21 18:12:30 +0000 UTC]
Yeah the software's free just Google it. As for tools in C4D it's just the normal rotate and move tools.
