Two young cheetah brothers and their mother with a juvenile springbok their mother caught in Shamwari Game Reserve, South Africa. The young cheetah [left] has learnt how to give a fatal neck hold.See also:

the one cheetah thats looking at us rminds me of my cat when she wants to be left alone XD very cool^^

If you ever get the chance to see 'Big Cats', you'll see how similar they really are to 'normal' cats. They play around a lot with each other, rub against each other, they are awesome animals especially out in the wild.

I wish i could see a big cat but the closest i could get to would be a couger which would be cool to see too. ok is it true that big cats purr? cause ive heard they do, have u ever heard it?

Large cats in general cannot purr, instead they are able to Roar though.
Cheetahs in several ways actually, are not true 'Big Cats' so they are rare in that they can actually purr. They cannot though roar. They are also able to growl and even make a sort of chirping/barking sound sometimes also.
Also very interesting, i think anyway, about Cheetah's is that they are one of very very few types of cats who claws are always visible. While not a brilliant photo i'll put something in my scrap book so you can see how the claws stay out even when just standing around. If you are interested: [link]

hey, i knew that cheetahs could chirp, i heard it on the discover channel! (im lame i know XC) It sounded like some sort of bird sound. haha XD
really? i never knew that cheetahs kept there claws out all hte time. i guess u learn something everyday XD thanks i looked at the picture and its very cool^^ Thanks^^

Thank you very much! It was an amazing experience being there and seeing this first hand. I like the way the left cheetah is looking directly at 'us', really makes me feel back there.
