Description Common Squirrel Monkey (Saimiri Sciureus)
Common Squirrel Monkey, native of South America but photographed here at MonkeyLand, South Africa. While hard to tell from these pictures, these guys are really small, when fully grown they have a ~30cm body and weigh about ~500g (female) ~750g (male).
Note its fingers, how much like human's they look.

I also have another of this monkey: [link]

Isnt it

You can see how these guys end up being captured and sold as pets. Unfortunate but well, at least these guys are free now, and properly protected. If you Google "Common Squirrel Monkey" after + "facts" the second most popular is "for sale"
