A Robin, or technically Wikipedia tells me its a European Robin, silly Americans and your fake-wannabe Robins!
Here our little friend had just shaken itself and fluffed up its feathers, it looks so ball shaped, almost unnaturally so. This image can't help reminding me of the sort of creature designed for the Pokemon games.
Its just so cute! Yes, i am an adult male, stop looking at me like that...

One of the most classic English birds, many people have an special attachment and kindness towards this bird more so than other birds, especially at Christmas time. Quite what it is about them i dont know, but they are part of our culture in a way other birds arent.

At home we are very lucky to have 2 or 3 regular Robins who visit our garden, especially to our bird feeder when its winter and harder to find other food. In the summer there is often at least one around the flower beds, especially as my mother weeds, exposing the insects and worms.

I have 3 photos of this same Robin, all shot through my kitchen window. While photographed some time ago i am only just beginning to go really go through the images i have taken, and finding the ones i like.
