Description It was still bitterly cold at dawn here in Madikwe Game Reserve, South Africa. I love the light and incredible effect it makes of the grass. There is no manipulation, its entirely natural.

Available as a wallpaper pack for many monitor sizes [link]

Yeah, I'll bet they do! And no problem on the delay - as you can tell, I sometimes take a while to respond as well.

i like this. it has a sort of surreal quality to it, not to mention the randomness of a zebra which adds an exotic feel.

I am pleased you like it, this has always been among my favourites of all my photos. I was really lucky everything was just there right in front of me. It may of been a nice photo without the Zebra but i love the African animals so much its a real bonus for me

It looks almost unreal. In a good way. I must visit Africa some day.

It does look unreal indeed, good word for it and yes you must! I've only ever been to the southern parts but i am sure Kenya, Tanzania and similar are just as good. I've heard the Ngorongoro Crater is utterly amazing, the vast amount of wild life there is there. Until a few years ago i thought it was just an area in World of Wacraft

better than going to the zoo.

This is the only downside of seeing such amazing things first hand out in the wild, zoo animals rather loose their appeal. Unfortunately not everyone is as lucky as i am, i really appreciate the moments i spend out there.
