Description

Deity Project: Demigod Polya

Chosen Champion of The Goddess of Hunters

There’s a feared place in the world that many mortals speak of in hushed tones. Even the bravest of adventurers are very reluctant to go there. Widely considered to be one of the most sacred and deadliest places to exist.

The Xot’riale Grounds.

It appears to be network of dark subterranean tombs, supposedly travelling into infinity itself. This place is said to have been blessed by the God of Spirits Xot. Where logic and laws of nature not always necessarily apply, the veil between this world and the next lies at it’s thinnest point.

And the creatures that lie within? Survivors often tell of only catching a glimpse of sharp deadly claws, bone crunching teeth and heart piercing horns attached to something dark, big and unworldly fast that appeared to blink in and out of our existence.

And it’s there you shall likely find her, perched within The Inverted Forrest above The Pool of Xot. Polya entered the grounds as a lost child many moons ago, armed with only a small pocket knife given to her by her mother to go and play. She has since hunted and survived her way into legend. It is said that upon first meeting The Goddess of Hunters when she was chosen, she shot and actually wounded the deity before accepting the position. A feat never seen before or accomplished since.

Polya has won 7 trials for The Goddess of Hunters, the majority of which favoured her talents with a bow and her tremendous swift skill in passing through dangerous terrain.

A most notable win was a contest of songs against Chosen Champion Brylle with a traditional lullaby that was taught to her by her father. Said lullaby can often be heard echoing throughout The Xot’riale Grounds as it welcomes her home on the rare occasion she leaves the grounds.
