I really like how epic this one looks! The centric rays did a great job, and you chose a nice, fitting color scheme for them, and original, too, cause mostly people use yellow and red, not blue.

Not only that, but also the boy's face looks very determined, like he was really doing something beyond epicness. Did he just catch a Legendary?

What bugs me, though, is that the Gyarados lacks the rest of it's tail and the boy's legs end in the middle. It would look a lot better if you drew them to the end.

Alright then, I shall start with the cons because the pros will be so much better once we get to them (:

The first thing I noticed about this piece is that it's relatively flat. I see a bit of minor shading, though I don't know if it was intentional or not since paints can do that. In any case, you really do MISS the shading, or see a little of it but not enough. Even if you would have added a little bit of darker red on the edges of his jacket or a darker orange to outline Raichu it would have looked so much better. The white on Raichu's stomach is also to egally white, it needs some gray. Now Koffin is alright, once again I don't know if it was intentional, but what did happen was that it got a great texture I think with the darker bits at the bottom. Gyarados isn't the problem either since there is some varying of shades there too. Of course I'm not thinking of taking the scanner into calculation, it could be that the scanner is egalling the colours, in that case I'll eat my words. With hotsauce.

Next, and last for the cons, is that his hands are too small. Anatomically your hands are just about as large as the length of your chin to a little above your eyebrows (Mine come out bout two centimeters above, yes I just tried it xD You kind of have to when you mention such things even if you've done it a ton of times before D The anatomy of the hands are good, especially the one around the Pokeball but the anatomy of the hands relating to the body in size should be a bit larger.
Though props, that the only real thing I see wrong with the body (;

Onto the good things, his hair. I'm really loving his hair, a LOT. It looks like it just mess of curls and looks absolutely wonderful. The hair's definitely the best thing about this picture, or so I think at least. His stance is good too, its solid, you did a great job on that.

And of course the Pokemon themselves. Now I cannot draw Pokemon worth three pennies, so you get my respect for that. All three of them look formidable. And lastly the second best thing of the picture is the EPICNESS of it all. Only to be beaten by the hair, of course. The stance and the colours of the background suggest a great something epic to be happening here and I really love that. It was indeed the first pro that I noticed and the blue also has a lovely texture against it.

All in all this is a really great picture with some minor flaws. But you need to keep in mind that you can always spot flaws if you try hard enough but the pros are really what makes the picture and they're a lot harder to make up when looking at a picture.

Awesome, very nice! Epic Artistry! I would also like to add how much I appreciate how it includes only Pokemon from Kanto/Jhoto. I really HATE the new crap, hurts me that Pokemon had to sell out..
