Description

A rather loose studie of a scene from The Way Back, a movie about a group of prisoners who escape from a Siberian Gulag camp during World War II. The masks are made of birch, improving sight and protecting from the cold snow.
It's not very special but I feel like I haven't uploaded anything on deviantart for too long Since the painting itself is nothing out of the ordinary I decided to put a few steps next to it to make this post more interesting. With imaginary scenes the approach is usually the same though with landscapes I often skip the sketch/drawing part and start with blocking in some colours.
