Gadran was the Garrison Commander of the rangers in Evech for a while. Originally a Nusian, after signing on with the rangers, he did his best to see as much of the world as possible. Age finally caught up with him in Evech, which was a mostly quiet place for the rangers. He stayed there until retirement.
