I've come a long way from my first explorations of the Ponyhammer idea [link] and [link] , so I thought it might be nice to revisit some of the first races I penned down (especially the Space Mareines!) and add a few more people have been asking for.They're still pretty rough (even in my standards!), so I'll see whether I can get enough time to clean them up as I go along. Cheers~ ^_^
ps: I tried to make everything to scale, so all of them should be relative to each other in terms of size. I think the Mareines look properly larger and chunkier than their pony brethren now, and will you take a gander at the size of that Hog! XD
I'm a little fuzzy on the scale of a Ork Nob in relation to a Marine, but that is how big I think they are atm. ^_^

usually i flat out hate ponyfication not because im an anti brony and hate everything relating to MLP but usually because they dont look good and look too much like their from MLP then a mix between the 2 but this you didint made everyone a pony and i really like the concept of ork being hogs (or hogz) and it really fit themΒ

For some races I haven't seen that could fit I think The Griffons could be Kroot and the Breezies could fit as Vespids.

I'm definitely looking at the auxiliary troops of the Dao empire, perhaps I'll nail them down at some point.
I'm pretty set on the Vespids being hornets though, atm. ^^Β

I can't help but feel like the Dao and Ponies overlap in ideologies a bit too much since the Imperium in ponyhammer have saints that preached the values of friendship and unity.
So I am curios to know if the Dao and Imperium are allied.

They do, don't they? I felt like exploring the idea that the Dao and the Equestrians indeed see friendship and unity in very distinct ways. While ponies revel in the celebration of individuality and the the virtues of friendship and tolerance; the Dao believe in their united destiny as a community, where the good of the many often outweighs the good of the few. They have much to learn from each other. ^_^
As their philosophies are very similar, they tend to coexist fairly well in this universe. Aside from the skittish paranoia of an Equestria thrust into a universe of violence, and an empire that is extremely stubborn in its adherence to the "Greater Good".

Well as you said it would be interesting to see how they would interact. And paradoxically enough it seems like the Dao would in most conflicts be the main aggressors or since it is more likely no armed conflict ocurr at all, be very insistent in their suggestions/demands for the Ponies to join the "greater good". After all while the Tau of 40k are very patient and for that universe very progressive, they don't know how to take a no, and will keep trying to push their agenda one way or another.

There will be more talking and less shooting in the interactions of both factions, and border issues will be a common problem between the empires.
Each will attempt to befriend the other, but each feeling their ways of social organisation is superior.

If the dao are the tau , do they have auxiliaries (like the kroots )?

Most definitely! I'm fairly set with the Vespid being some sort of hornet-ish species, and I'm messing around with the Kroot at this very moment.
Moving between either a canine or lizardy aesthetic at the moment.

Lizards would likely be more inline with their aesthetic tbh, but canines or wolf like creatures could work with their mentality.
Edit: I know they have kroot "hounds" but even they have lizard like heads. I will also be very curious to see how you deal with their "shaping". The "human" equivalents e.g. the ponies can have horns or wings or super strength. So there is a lot of potential there for crazy looking kroot.

Good work, sir. Β It seems you put a lot of thought into adapting the imperial forces to fit with equestrian values (truly Saint Pinky is wise) and coming up with oodles of horse pun names to boot.Β
I understand that the Life/Deathwatch, Grey Knights/Dames and Space Marines represent paragons of virtue in both universes but how did you adapt theΒ Ordo Hereticus/Sisters of Battle? Β An organisation built on ruthlessness and suspicion that uses torture on it's own people seems a difficult fit for a empire where Celestia is alive and not stuck in a fancy freezer.

The "Sisters of Battle" of this universe is more concerned with the defense of their faith rather than the burning of heretics. The "Ordo Hereticus" may have a much more... sinister service they provide to Equestria. They do less torture and more sending to concentration camps atm though, until I feel the need for them to descend to more extremes in their methods.

yeah, makes more sense the dao are very spindly equinish creatures or more rodentish creatures,
the hog nob is an ally...? (I'm all for the wiser races working together instead of constant war, but still... )
