Description
This one was fun! It involved more painterly stuff than usual XD Anyway, this is the Black Rabbit of Inle, the spirit of death for all rabbit-kind. Though he looks terrifying, he's not evil. He merely does his appointed task, bringing death at its appointed time. (Not that rabbits aren't scared of him) .I did this in Photoshop, partly using smoke brushes I've had for a long time, and never used until now! I can't remember where I got them...some free Photoshop brush site. If you know where these come from, please let me know so I can credit them!

A wonderful novel by Richard Adams. Β You wouldn't think a story about rabbits would be exciting, but you'd be wrong

There are options to buy it as a print through DA (the print menu should be to the right of the Deviation) . Β I'm pleased you like it enough to want to frame it!

It was the movie that messed with my head LOL when my parents took me to see it when I was ten. I understood it a little, but mostly was scared and surprised at the bloodiness and eerie nature of it. Later on when I read the book when I was 14 and had a dynamic teacher who was really into the book and movie I understood much more. But it still scared me

They made us read the book first when Β I was 13, and then we watched the movie. It is still the second freakiest animated film I've seen in my life. The first being Felidae.

What was Felidae all about? Sounds like it's about cats LOL Β Is it on Youtube?
The other movie which goes hand in hand with me seeing WSD and was another deeply disturbing movie ( the opening scenes left me in shock ) was the Plague Dogs. Admittingly that didn't make such as splash as Watership Down did. I just went crazy this year with a renewed interest in Watership Down and here I am on DA, getting artists here to make me all kinds of WSD customized goodies. There wasn't a whole lot of collectibles for the 1978 movie admittingly so I am having them made instead. I DID luck out though on another Watership Down group (which is kind of dead and so I am glad I am here on DA where it's a lot more active. We don't just discuss the art but the book and film/storyline as well) and purchased the original set of four plushies from the 1978 movie ( Fiver, Kehaar, Blackberry and Hazel) made by a British toy company called Chad Valley. They're very hard to find.Β

Photoshop costs about $500 or $600, unless you already have an older version of Photoshop, you can buy the upgrade for $100 or so. I got mine from a local computer software store. The tablet I have was a gift, so I don't know how much it cost. It's a VizTablet.

It should, I used to have a macbook Pro myself. Just make sure that your copy of Photoshop is Mac compatible (it will say on the packaging) .
