A commission for someone over on Tumblr, who gave me permission to post it here. Quatre is giving piano lessons to Heero, who wanted to learn some peacetime activities after the Eve Wars. Quatre's quite happy to be spending such quality time with one of his best friends, though I think he's giving Heero a gentle hint about not needing to be so intense.Β Poor Heero can't help being that way with everything. (If he ever gets as far as Liszt or Kachaturian that piano doesn't stand a chance. )ΒI'm a big fan of bromance, and so this one made me very happy. Plus, it fed my need to draw GW (and this is one of my BroTPs, so yeah. XD ) Google images was an especial help here for the piano and lighting and such.

Quatre would be better off starting him with Fur Elise or even something from the Nutcracker Suite (one of the softer songs of course. Those keys would die if they were subjected to any of the more serious overtones of that particular symphony). I could have sworn I commented something one this one! I love the idea of Heero learning to play piano!

Quatre would probably have to keep Heero from just plunging right into the hard stuff at once, because I could see him grabbing Bach or something like that (or Beethoven - pounding it out with gusto ) . And yes, I love the idea as well

Heero learning to do something creative is such a good idea. I can't even imagine what it'd feel like to have only known/be expected how to destroy for so long and then learning to create something. It must be like a whole new world.

I love their bromance, and the way you depict it is always so beautiful. I especially love the lighting in this one. I used to play the piano, and I agree it's very relaxing. Seeing this picture makes me want to pick up the skill again.

My only criticism is the instructors face. It seems less detailed than the rest of the art. None the less gorgeous work though. You have talent!

It's probably the anime style. There's not a lot of detail in anime faces. But I understand what you mean. I'm still trying to find the right balance between stylization and reality, and I'm not there yet. Still improving!

Could be anything, really. I had thought maybe some Debussy, or Clementi (to start with) but I don't know how far along Heero is in this. Still fun to imagine!
