Description There it is, the "A" word.  Autism.  But what does that mean for me?  Something similar and yet different to someone else who has autism, that's for sure.
We get these (most likely) well-meaning neurotypicals who don't know anything about what it's actually like to BE speaking FOR us.  When we try to speak for ourselves, we're told to be quiet by these same NTs.  Far be it for us to have brains or be able to speak for ourselves.

There are those who believe autism means we're all monotone, can't do sarcasm, can't feel empathy.  Maybe that's true for some, but it isn't true for all.  And even then, bits and pieces.  As for me?  I am far from monotone.  I am fluent in sarcasm.  I am capable of empathy.  If you meet one person with autism, then you have met one person with autism.  You have not met the whole.

The most dangerous ones are the celebrities.
One such celebrity has basically said that those of us who are saying we are actually autistic (as in, we HAVE autism) are liars.

I am a person.  I am an aunt.  I am a sister.  I am a daughter.  I am a friend.  I am a volunteer.  I am autistic.  I am creative.  I am me.

I've been doing a lot of colors lately, I know.  I feel like I might be trying to work through something.

All colored pencil. (Up & Up, LiquiMark, Prismacolor)

Nice piece of work here. I really like the colours, the imagery and as someone with autism myself I can relate to alot of the stuff you said in the description. Keep up the good work
