Description
A little piece of data I've had offline since the site issues began, I should have put this up for you guys AGES ago. This is not a font. I will eventually make a font whenever I get the time to do it. For now, here's the original image for reference.
You can use this in fan fics and the like to your heart's content, but use is restricted to non profit only. In other words, you are not allowed to use this in anything that makes money.
I also love to know when and how people use my alphabets. I also like credit. If you use this please don't forget where you found it, and links to work are highly appreciated. I favourite works on DA that use my alphabets, but only if I find them. make it easier on both of us and leave a link below if you use this. ;3
Enjoy~ β₯

The alphabets shape like Korean and the numbers shape like Chinese. In my opinion, 4-9 look the most similar to modern Chinese words οΌεδΊε
δΈε
«δΉοΌ. Β

Not yet...so sorry! Been so busy with commissions and products I haven't really had time to sit down and do them yet... got a show in a couple of weeks I'm prepping for, so hopefully after that, I can sit down, relax, and get some non-work work done and actually finish up some more planned fonts! *crosses fingers* <_>

...Each and every time I look at this, I keep wanting to pronounce a lot of these letters from their basis. So much Hangul. Soooo much Hangul. ;w; I also see that you've adopted the number stylings from Chinese lettering. Props to you. It's quite a rounded out basis, but geez. Your Deku alphabet confuses me and I love it! Keep these up. <3

Hahaha Well, when I made this I didn't understand that Hangul is a stacked alphabet; since learning that I've been thinking I may want to actually remake this in a stacked style but with different characters than Hangul. May add some diversity to my "Zelda-verse" alphabets. But even if it's sort of hacked and very confusing, I'm glad you like it! Thank you! ^_^

You are quite welcome, and if you do make it in a stacked style, I'd love to see how it turns out. To be honest, I was trying a similar style to an alphabet I was making for this guy in my pic. ;w;-b It's a little more primitive looking though...imho. Hnnn...Where did I put that letter key? DX

Some of the characters look Korean...how are the letters pronounced?

Sarinilli In reply to SparklyBlueRoses84 [2014-11-29 22:07:17 +0000 UTC]
The basic look was inspired by Korean, actually. I didn't mod the alphabet on how Hangul actually works though; I wish I did. Who knows, I might go back and remake this one at some point because I LOVE the way the Hangul alphabet works.
As far as pronunciation, I never really thought TOO far into that for most of the alphabets; just Hylian and probably Sheikah really. But as far as how I would think the Deku language might sound if there was one... something like a soft Russian perhaps? Hope that helps some. :3

There is no official alphabet for Deku, Goron or Zora- my fan alphabets for them are the only ones that exist.

the numbers are especially interesting, they seems to be inspired by the numbers in chinese characters, am I right?

Sarinilli In reply to dekuNukem [2012-10-27 13:53:49 +0000 UTC]
The letters are inspired by the look of Korean (but not the functionality) and the numbers are inspired by Japanese/chinese, yeah. More Japanese inspired really but Japanese took their numbers and a lot of characters from Chinese in the first place.

Very interesting. There was a time when I made my own, too. But surely it was less simetrical than your.
It's fun to write something in your own alphabet and then take a chance to read it.
Now just to find a good program to make a font.

Oh, I have a good program to make a font. I just need to have the time to actually work on it. Probably once I get my old desktop working again. Netbooks don't much like graphic based editors and programs. >>
