Mace is a beanstalk standing at 6 feet 2 inches. Toned but lean, most of his muscle is in his calves, thighs, and forearms. Skin both naturally tan and sunkissed from houses on the beaches, his eyes and hair match the color scheme of different shades of brown and blonde. Hair is three toned, blonde at the tips and a deep copper at the roots. Their eyes, though bright, tend to fall half hooded, reflecting the chef’s relaxed ‘lazy pup’ demeanor. A bright but equally lazy smile features one snaggled canine that sits high. Yes, their legs do go all the way up.

Bio

Mace was born and half raised on the island of Ki. Their parents spent more of their childhood trying to figure out if they actually wanted to be together or not, resulting is Mace moving back and forth to Serseri with mama. Mace’s father, though problematic in his own right, was always a loving and supportive father. When Mace wanted to start baking at a young age, papa was sure to help supply the child with whatever utensils he could. During times when Mace stayed on Ki, the kitchen was full of new cooking and baking materials that helped nurture the young chef’s skills and love for the craft.

Mace, in his elementary school years, met his half-sister, Lua who lived on Trojan. The two had a pleasant, but distant relationship. Mace bakes her a special cake every year, and either delivers it to Trojan, or gets a visit from her. Their parents weren’t usually involved.

When Mace turned 19, they very politely let mom and papa know that they were exhausting him, so he moved in with papa permanently in order to pursue cooking professionally. After years of practice, training, working, and saving, Mace paid a deposit on his small café when he was 24. Business on Ki has already been slow for years, but when Mayor Taryn took office, Mace was finally seeing more traffic, and after a few months, not only locals, but tourists were frequenting the “Sun-KIssed Café”

Personality
Mace is a very energetic, active, and chipper person. Flipping back and forth between all over the place and burning as many calories as possible and lounging and napping under umbrellas on the Ki beach and burying their legs in the sand. Mace carries themselves with a good bit of poise and swagger, accidentally charming and purposefully warm. This however, doesn’t take away from the fact that Mace is a puppy at heart. Positive reinforcement and praise are always appreciated, because every now and then the feelings of self-doubt and displacement creep in.

Relationships:
Anyone and everyone is welcome at the Sun-KIssed. There are several regulars who come by, and superficially, Mace is a social butterfly. He’ll happily invite people on runs or to join for some hoops. The café even hosts screening parties for sporting events!

More intimate relationships, however, tend to make Mace a little more nervous. Growing up, Mace has had multiple short relationships and one long one. They enjoy dating, finding it both fun and refreshing, but hasn’t had much luck with deeper emotional intimacy. They’re optimistic though!
