-CHOICE MATTERS

Abortion is a very controversial subject. But it needs to be a topic we can talk about. I think there should be a choice for woman. The choice should be there.

But I also feel that woman undergoing an abortion need to be informed and assessed. I never had an abortion nor do I know how the process goes. But I think a women wanting/needing an abortion needs to be informed about what she is about to do, the other options and needs to get information about not letting it happening again (if it is her “own” fault) maybe even (forced) sex education lessons. But the choice should be there.

Because some women don’t want a baby. They are disgusted by the thought of having a baby. Because it is unwanted, for whatever reason! And having to carry this baby is destroying them. And wanting to get rid of it so freaking bad. They find other ways. Dangerous ways. Possibly harming both them and the embryo/baby! The sooner they are able to legally get an abortion the better. The choice should be there.

I do think that 22 weeks is a little bit too long to make this decision. At 22 weeks an embryo is practically, pretty much a baby. So I do think that should be reduced. Also where I live a women is forced to think at least five days about this decision after the first conversation with the doctor. First of all, do you know how much an embryo grows in a week? the sooner the better! Secondly do you really think that the woman going to the doctor didn’t think about it? Give woman the choice to think this through. The choice should always be there. Their body, their lives, their choice.
