Postal Service Building

One of the largest building's in the town, the Postal Building is at the heart of the town. One of the very few two story postal buildings in the country, it boasts spaces big enough inside to entertain vast groups of people. Now only a few souls visit the postal service per day.

A large clock sits over the three adjacent doors that lead into the building and it's tall ceilings are arched and covered in ornate, swirling designs. White columns stand on every side and two long desks stand side of side to face the doors. Sorting racks cover the walls behind them, once filled with letters and packages.

On the far sides of the room are two dozen writing desks each with it's own lamp and writing materials. Pens, ink, paper and wax stamps are all provided curtsey of the town of Advent.

Carpentry Store

O'Neil's Carpentry Supplies is covered in dust and grime, but that's not because it's been abandoned. No, the store owner O'Neil is most certainly still at it day in and day out, and the floor almost always has wood chips scattered everywhere around the four work tables pushed together in the front of the store. Atop the work tables is a half sanded rocking chair and next to that a tall stack of blueprints and writing utensils. The walls are covered in wooden cabinets and shelves and every one is smothered with parts, nails, saws, hammers, and an array of other tools for the working man.

The second room of the store just on the left houses the bulk of the shop's wood. Nearly a dozen kinds sit in various piles and the leak out into the space behind the back of the shop where half-chopped wood sits in massive chaotic stacks.

Game and Butcher

The Otto Sister's run this Butcher and Game shop to this day. A bell above the green door rings when opened and a slick counter with a large scale resting on the corner. Beside it is a large butcher knife, cutting slab and rusting sausage maker. Behind the counter the day's freshest cuts are put up for display on hooks to hang from the wall. Everything from full pigs to plucked chickens can be found there, and smaller cuts are displayed in the window underneath the counter. Despite a rather large vase of lavender in the shop's window the inside of the shop still reeks, especially during summer.

General Store

A few strands of ivy had started spreading up the walls of Advent’s general store. The windows collect dust in the corners and an elderly woman usually sits on the long front porch on an ancient rocking chair. Large baskets of fresh apples, sweet peppers, tomatoes and potatoes sit in front of the windows of the store. On the inside of the simple square room are lined shelves and shelves of multiple products ranging from canned food items to grooming, clothes, knick knacks, cutlery, cigars and a hodge-podge of other easy-to-access items. The wooden counter in the corner sports a freshly made cheese cake on display in a glass container and jars of candies.

The back room is mostly used for storage of extra items or pricier items.

Bakery

Mister Molly's Bakery is no longer in business, and form the looks of it had been left in quite a hurry. A layer of dust cakes the creaky floorboards and remnants of old breads and cakes still sit untouched on their display plates.

Inn/Pub

Upon entering the The Grackle Inn and Pub newcomers are directly met with the mahogany wrap-around bar. Over two dozen stools sit beside the polished surface of the bar and just behind it is a display case lined with liquors and spirits from all over London. The large room is lit with iron-styled chandeliers and comfy, red leather booths line the two walls on both side of the door. Four more stand alone tables sit around the bar, each with a deck of playing cards placed atop for public use. The walls are covered in old photographs and painting depicting the countryside.

To the very right of the pub is a large staircase that leads to the upper floor. Here is where guests can purchase modest but well kept rooms to spend their nights while visiting the town. Each room contains one bed, a dresser, a trunk, a mirror and a desk and chair.

Jailhouse

This building still looks shiny and new, and the major does well to keep it looking perfect. The grey bricks of the two story building shimmer in the light and a dreary face can usually be seen looking out from the second floor windows. Inside there is a small reception room to accommodate guests, and beyond that a long line of empty jail cells stands, each with only a single, uncomfortable bunk. Despite how well it's been kept up some cell floors still have stains from previous rule breakers. Across the cells is a table with three chairs and a door behind that that leads to the head policeman's office. Inside the office is a desk with two chairs and a window overlooking the town.

Town Hall

Nearly a dozen worn steps lead up to the Town Hall of advent. The large three story building squashed near the center of town is covered in patterned marble tile once entered, and after passing through a large arch there sits two neat rows of benches facing the podium on the stage at the other end of the vacant room. The grand gothic architecture makes the building look oddly out of place in such a small town. Four hallways spider off from the main hall, two leading to the second floor where guests can use the two long balconies to view town meetings from.

Trading Post

One might have imagined that in its prime, the trading post of Advent had shelves stocked full of interesting items that were brought from all over the world. Now it stands as a large, mostly vacant room with worn counter tops and empty trading halls. Upright barrels litter the spacious room in several places and crates sit neatly in the corners. Business usually is only open a handful of days out of the week now, but their doors are always open to the weary passerby.

Abandoned Cathedral

A fire broke out in the cathedral years ago and since then it has been abandoned by the town's folk, it's structure to rickety to allow any sensible person from wondering in. The town had promised to restore it when funds allowed, but no action has been taken as of yet. Instead it sits on a hill overlooking the town. The roof has multiple holes in it and plants have started to push their way up in between the floorboards. Scattered benches are pushed to the sides of the room and the stage has been made bare. A large golden cross leans against the corner of the stage, it's golden paint having been all but chipped away.

The lower level makes way for a mess hall that was once used for christmas feasts and sunday breakfasts with churchgoers. It is complete with a modest kitchen and dining area. The tables and chairs are all covered in ghostly white sheets. This area was less affected by the fire and more of it remains intact.

The tower has been all but scorched and is unsafe to use anymore. The rickety steps lead to a rather large brass bell that still hangs.
