Commission #19 FULL VIEW!!!!Detail Shots
-- Well, this is a very long overdue commission that I owed to ~FluffyBadger for some time now xD...I know...I'm bad c__c; But well, this is of his Drow and Knight characters, whom of which I do not know their names beyond that. These two characters were also featured in the last commission I did for ~FluffyBadger in "Looking For A Fight" .
But well, this peice ended up being experimental in a way. I wanted to really make this picture pop and stand out against some of my other works and make it extra special ^_^; So, with the assistance of =One-Vox , I decided to go with a more painterly look. =One-Vox showed me how he did his paintings and I did my best to mimick the style of painting techniques. It was frustrating at first...but I slowly started to grasp the concepts and ideas...and I think I came out with something worth looking at in the end ^_^;;;; But yeah...tis all good.
The elf in the front is supposed to be a Drow. I know they have black skin and all c__c; but having a black skined character like Drow in a night time scene...well...just doens't work all that well >_>; So I gave her more of a purple hue to her skin to show reflecting from the moonlight being cast down upon her. And then you have the creepy guy looming behind her at the forests edge >.>; damn stalkers...*cough*
So that's about it XD nothing more to say on the subject...*runs away*

Would you say she is wearing a loin cloth? A lot of fantasy pieces have girls wearing that ^ and I never know what to call it. A loincloth or a skirt? What do you call it? Great piece!

The color scheme on this is really nice, and I think you did a good job on emulating the painting techniques you were given, yet you found what works for you, and it will only get better with practice. I've always been a fan of cool colors, so pieces like this stick out to me.

I suppose that she is an Eilistraee drow priestess because she is dancing under the moon and has few dress. The crescent moon on her neck confirm my theory. These are all the simbol of Eilistraee

Browsing through your gallery fills me with amazement. Every piece you've done is full of beauty and wonder, and I cant help but long for that sort of ability. I really want to do a picture of Sayda for you, though it wont be as great as your pictures of her. You are a wonderful artist, and I cant wait for your next pic.

I'm sure the stalker-ish man has a purpose, being a commissioned piece and what not, but I think it takes away from the beauty in the rest of the picture. And it is such a beautiful composition! I absolutely LOVE her skin. I created a race similar to Drows, the Sura, who look much like the female one you have pictured here...they have white skin. So, naturally, this touches very close to my heart. ^-^; I'm such a nerd.

So much to love about this one. The colors are fantastic. I really love the shading on the fingers of her right hand.
This is actually something you see all the time in World of Warcraft. Female night elves regularly strip down and go dancing, though usually in town. They dance and dance and get tips handed to them from all the other adolecent players.

I really like the movement of the dancing drow, the whispy grass bits, and the light effects above her: excellant color use! The background figure doesn't quite seem to gel, though: he stands out too much, I think. All told, though, a beautiful piece.

The dancer's very beautiful and the other figure is very, for lack of a better word, devious looking.

awww so pretty! This turned out really lovely, I like the sparkly bits and the whole mood of dancing in a moonlit glade. Great perspective with that background, it makes the trees seem larger than life!
