The WonderBolts are everypony's favorite aerial team, the ones who put on spectacular shows and the like, but they are also Equestria's Elite Aerial Strike force, under their Main Patron; Princess Celestia. Upon Princess Luna's return, she was approached by NightFire, a long, distant descendant of those original ShadowBolts from 1000 years prior- who were as the WonderBolts are, and Aerial Strike Force under the command of Luna and who work to protect the Night, their patron, and of course, all of Equestria. When Luna fell into darkness and became Nightmare Moon, her Magic corrupted those ponies closest to her- the original ShadowBolts, making them the shadowy villains that the mane 6 encountered (as ghosts) while defeating Nightmare Moon. With Luna back in the picture, NightFire (Who is the Captain of the SB) sought her out to do what she was meant to be doing- being a ShadowBolt, and becoming the Captain of the team.

The ShadowBolts aren't out in the limelight like the WonderBolts are, they're still seen as mostly a myth in the start, and not looked upon kindly for the Nightmare Moon Mishap, though they are not the same ponies. Celestia recognizes the reemergence of Luna's Aerial Strike Force, and leaves them to do as Luna wishes- she has no quarrel with their restart. Even so, the ShadowBolts stick to the night and don't try to draw too much attention to themselves, as was the custom of the Original Team- their tactics work best with stealth and speed.

Lime Light is one of the most recent additions to the team, having joined shortly before the events that take place in Fade to Shadow and Stardust. He first met NightFire, the Captain of the Team, when they bumped into one another just outside Manehatten. She'd taken notice of him as he moved and weaved through the air, moving to the beat of his music. She was impressed with his grace and his skill in flying tight movements and moves, and asked him to join, especially if he had nothing better to do. He figured why the hell not, and followed her back to SchattenBlitz that night.

He's somewhat young at heart, and has a serious love for music and music production, you can often times find him tucked away in his room with the speakers on full blast as he works on scoring a new track. What he did as a job before joining the ShadowBolts was bouncing between different cities and different NightClubs working as a DJ for hire, he mostly filled in where the Clubs didn't have a DJ for the night, before moving on to a different job, on and on. He never had a permanent position, though he didn't seem to mind. In all his moving around he came into chance meeting with other DJ's, most predominantly with that of DJPON3 and Neon Lights.

He's a laid back dude with a sense of humor, as well as a bit of an oblivious side to him. He speaks plainly, and sometimes his honesty gets him into awkward situations. Overall he's a kind guy, and it very easy to get along with and hang out with. With how laid back he is he seems to give off an air of calm and relaxation around him, and isn't someone to get worked up over things, or panic when a situation gets hairy. He's also quite opposed to violence, and will more often then not stay completely out of whatever drama crops up. If he finds himself in the middle of something he tends to stick to the 'neutral' side. He's also a bit forgetful, and can get caught up in something and lose hours at a time.

He's got a bad habit of having his music up too loud, to the point it's impossible to hear anything, or say anything to him. It's a bit of a wonder he hasn't gone deaf at the volume he spends hours sitting in, but it doesn't seem to bother him, and at least he's got something he loves. He's also a bit of slob, and doesn't get hung up on cleanliness (which is clear from the state of his room, one can scarcely walk through it or see the floor).

In terms of flying he's rather fantastic, though most ponies wouldn't know only ever seeing him sitting behind a turntable. On the ShadowBolts team he may not be the fastest (not to say he isn't fast mind you), nor the strongest flier, but in terms of maneuverability, agility, and the ability to move in complex patterns and near impossible ways, he's on top with the team's Captain. He's able to make tight turns and complex rolls and moves in air with ease, and is probably one of the most coordinated fliers around, and the most controlled.

He's one of the younger members, being close in age to Flash, and Lightning Dust, who he's become good friends with the both of them. Since their all considered 'newbies' compared to the older and longer time Members of the team, they tend to stick together and help one another out when they need it. You can usually find him somewhere near Flash or Lightning when they're around, especially Lightning since he was anointed her sort of 'buddy' in order to help her get used to the team and all it's ins and outs.

He also has a hard time discerning between different shades of green and certain shades of blue.
