Ah, "Ace Combat 2": that was the first Ace Combat I played!
The last Aircraft to unlock in that Chapter was a Violet SU-35!
Yes, it was on PSX, and I remember that the first Chapter was called "Air Combat" ([link] )...
Anyway, it is Unclear which Chapter "Ace Combat: Assault Horizon" ([link] ) is to be considered, besides being the Latest for PS3 and X360...
If you still haven't played it and you are a Fan of the Game, or you simply liked playing one of the earlier Installments - in your Case, "Ace Combat 2" - , then I strongly suggest to play "Assault Horizon";
in my Opinion, it is the most Refined and Realistic Air Simulator ever made - at least, from what I've seen - !
As many of the other Ace Combat Games, it can become a Nightmare at Harder Difficulties - especially if you are not so Expert - ; which is part of the Realism too...
Also, it features many Improvements and Changes over its previous Chapters, and you won't regret playing it for a second Time!
I ran it on my X360, and it was simply Great: and I'm sure that, on your PS3, it will be even Greater!
But, before that, it would be even better if you played "Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X." which, in my opinion, can be placed at the 2nd Place of the Air Simulator Category!
It is a little more Futuristic that "Assault Horizon", but not as Extraordinary as that!
Once you'll finish it, you can decide either to play "H.A.W.X. 2" - which Greatly Disappointed me - , or immediately go for the Masterpiece - "Ace Combat: Assault Horizon", indeed - !
Forgive me, dear Hannuki, if I'm asking now again:

I love this game- nice screenshot. Reminds me of the time I chased down a Sukhoi- we were down on the deck, and I loosed a 20mm burst. Every round went up his tailpipe and that was that. He left a nice scrape on the desert floor.
