Impa said "5 Champions piloted the Divine Beasts" when explaining their backstory to Link in Breath of the Wild. Sound familiar? Let's replace a few words:If it said "5 Teenagers piloted the Zords" then you'd immediately think "The Legend of Zelda; Power Rangers"...at least, I did.
And then it hit me; what if the Sheikah Slate had a Rune that accessed the Morphing Grid/Bio Field somehow and allowed the Champions to Morph? I know there's currently only 1 Sheikah Slate in the game, but Purah made another for herself so she can make more; and considering she reversed her age to live longer, it's not out of the realm of possibility they could be used to enhance the user too, like when Morphing into Power Rangers! It can also spawn items, like bombs and the Master Cycle Zero, allow the user to Teleport to the Divine Beasts, control them, and have other powers like magnesis and stasis, taking a photo to gain intel on an enemy or object, and display a map or other information on-screen! It's a perfect morpher and tool!
It's a shame we didn't even get a costume set that looked close to a ranger-like design that we could change color...
So maybe I'll post that later
