ha, no its not a lift OR an elevator
its at the end of the pedestrian bridge on campus. its a long, enclosed bridge over the mississippi. heres a wider shot: [link]
they are scattered around campus for if you are getting raped or something, but i think they are mostly used by drunk kids who want to see what happens when they push the button.

I think your photograph is really interesting. the idea is great and my thoughts first went to a modern technological church. at the same time I think it can be a thought about how that thing in the church works now as well. you get the normal feedback whatever you might say cause it's really built on that religious book.
if you are religious I don't mean to offend you, sorry if I did.

for the picture itself I think the hand could have more focus cause it's a pretty important part of the photo in my opinion. otherwise I really like the dark locker feeling to it and the spider is great.

thank you. i definately appreciate constructive criticism. and no offense taken on the religious aspect. i never really looked at it that way, but i like the idea. instant salvation would be nice sometimes.
and while i am very happy with how this came out, i do wish i had more of the hand in the shot to balance out the top, and possibly the hand more in focus as well, but i do like the blurry/glowing aspect of it.

I love this so much its not even funny. This is one of the best examples of photography I've seen in a long time and I'mforgettingtobreathe. *gasps* THIS is a great picture. It makes me salivate. The fact that no one else has added this to their favourites list makes me vengeful and homicidal. +fav

yeah, the hand is a bit out of focus, but its also kinda desaturated and glowing which gives it a sort of surreal feel, which i like a lot. it lends to the idea that the hand is sort of an illusion, where the call box is more real. its the illusion of safety, and the attempt to cry for help when all you want to do is be saved.
