Okay so I've had this dA account for a long time, and I enjoy photography but I've never really felt it appropriate to upload any of my personal photos before. I was messing around with the manual focus on my camera (a Canon PowerShot A85, which, alas, after me owning it for about 4 years, is showing signs of deterioration - the display is fading) the other day and I took this photo, which I was pretty pleased with. It's a bit strange for a first upload, and I'm not self-obsessed or anything, I just like the way the light looks on my lips and how after years of fairly apalling photography I have actually managed to capture something with the focus on what I want it to be on. Sorry for the rant!! I'm in the middle of exams at the moment and as I said my camera is on its way out, but I'm going to try and get onto dA more often.~Stanzi
