Description

Gretchen! A boogey monster with the roar of a tiger, the muscles of a gorilla and the claws of a raccoon. Her day (technically night) job involves hanging out in the closets of troublesome children (bullies, spoiled brats, etc.) and scaring them straight. She does this by using an ability shared by all members of the boogey monster species. Boogey monsters can travel to just about any place in the world that they have knowledge of by utilizing dark, cramped, unseen spaces, with closets being the most convenient form of this.

Gretchen however, has a bad habit of half-baking her jobs, usually skipping the gravitas of building up tension for a good scare and skipping straight to the mindless roars. No sneaking, no pretending to be a woolly sweater, nothing! Not only that, but once a job is finished (as far as her definition of "finished" is concerned), she'll often swipe a trinket or two from the kid's bedroom and keep it for herself. If you ask her why she does the former, she'll reason that rotten kids aren't worth true scaring artistry or her time. If you ask why she does the latter, she'll reason rotten kids don't deserve the nice things she swipes and that she's teaching them a lesson. If you ask her about both at the same time, at which point her explanations would become contradictory of one another, then she'll just roar in your face and change the subject.

But at the end of the day (or night), Gretchen's got a good heart under her rough exterior and is willing to do the right thing at the right time, she just has to improve her work ethic a bit.
