Drake and Molly couldn't believe what they were seeing. They'd managed to locate, with some difficulty, their captain. What they hadn't planned on finding, was the dark-haired pirate sitting and talking casually with a mermaid of all things.

"Well...now, I've seen everything," Drake said, tilting his head to make sure he was seeing what he was seeing. "Weirder and weirder all the time..." he muttered, making his way over to the two apparent friends and introduced himself to Ling Ling.

"Hey there! You new?" Ling Ling questioned. "It's nice to meet ya." The pink-haired mermaid turned to her friend. "You really gotta tell me more about your crew. I didn't even know Damien had joined." The aquatic woman flashed the fighter a smile. "But I'm glad that you could make it."

"Guys are so weird," Molly said, slapping her palm to her face as she watched Damien readily accept the notion that they were now communing with mythological creatures. Though she wondered if a creature was still mythological if it had been found.

Vance chuckled. "Molly, you've seen Ninjas with super strength and you've seen me breath fire. I'm surprised you're not more expecting as far as the unexpected goes," the Soldier of The Sea said.

"There's a lot more to this world than you'd like to think," Ling Ling chimed in. "You should just learn to roll with it the world."

"Yeah. It might make you a little less hot-head--," Damien's comment was cut short, as he noticed Molly's typical "Death Glare" aimed directly at him.

"Alright, alright!" The Secretary of Offense shouted, joining the three. "I suppose I should be used to anything at this point," she said before turning to Ling Ling who gave her a wide, warm smile causing the sunkissed gunner to blush slightly at the quick show of friendship.

"Nice ta meet ya, Mol," Ling Ling said, holding her hand out to shake the human's. "Now you, I've heard about."

"Oh really," Molly asked, turning to her captain. "And what exactly have you--,"

Damien interrupted, not wanting things to get out of hand but also wanting to air his curiosity. "Hey, Captain? How exactly did you get to know a mermaid, anyway?" During the entire trip, Vance had kept his crew in the dark (partially for fun.)

Vance chuckled, before Damien and Molly witnessed what looked to be an incredibly meaningful look pass between the two. As if they were conversing about the deepest secrets the universe had to offer, and suddenly they were both laughing as if someone had told a semi-funny joke.

"Well...you're probably not going to totally belie...Ling Ling and I share a psychic bond," he explained, forgoing any pretense that his crew wouldn't understand.

"Yep-Yep! Me and your captain here, are bonded," Ling Ling. "It's how I got him here in the first place, and partially how we met."

"Well, when a pretty mermaid psychically contacts you to help save her life, it's not exactly something you can dismiss," Vance said, rubbing the back of his head. "Besides, I needed a break from the constant training. Jiyu was running me ragged," he laughed, though somehow felt in the pit of his stomach Jiyu had heard him and that he would pay for that remark at a later date. "We actually talk often, but I know that she likes to keep moving and so do I, but when we're near it's cool to meet up and hear about each others adventures."

"That reminds me," Ling Ling began. "You still with that white-haired gal?" she asked, her pirate friend.

"Yeah," Vance said, laughing nervously. "She's back at the ship."

Ling Ling blushed, still a bit embarrassed she made Jiyu jealous. The group, of course, spent the day telling tales of their adventures in and above the seas.

Jiyu, however...wasn't quite happy with Vance when the pirates left Ling Ling...very, very, very late that night. So late...it was technically the next day.

"YOU...FORGOT...I...WAS...HERE!?"
