“Hey, Nil.”“Hey.”
“What’s up, Nilvasi?”
“Nilvasi must be pretty popular around here,” Knight thought as he half-heartedly waved at a Mage. “Then again, that’s not much of a shocker.” The disguised Ice Elf wandered the halls of The Academy barely hiding his fascination at all he saw, and unfortunately found himself the object of someone elses’ attention.
“Ah, Nilvasi! Glad you decided to come back,” a green-eyed man called, from what appeared to be a lab, and motioned him to join.
“This must be Aeren…” Knight recognized the pale man from the description Nalvasi had given of him. “Hey, Aeren! Yeah, I just needed to step out and get some fresh air,” the Ice Elf said.
“I understand. Anyway, what do you say to helping me out here,” Aeren grinned. “I know I kind of screwed up on the last one, but I think this new mixture is going to work just as I calculated. Aeren held out a beaker with an oddly luminescent and sparking liquid inside. I just need you to give it a little shock using your magic.” Aeren held the beaker up to Knight expectantly.
“…Crap. Probably should have thought of a contingency plan for this. Think you disco duck, think!” After a short pause Knight could come up with only one response. “Sure. Hand it here,” the disguised Elf said. Knight took the beaker and took a breath. “Oh no…” he said, dropping the beaker, and causing a familiar “Boom” to echo through the academy.
Taking this moment to escape the devastated lab, Knight ran into the young Wind Mage, Mei-Feng. “Hey, Nilvasi!” The young girl beamed. “What was all that noise about? Sounded like an explosion.”
“Oh…nothing…nothing,” Knight quickly led the girl into another room, which turned out to be a library, somewhat reminiscent of the one in the city. “Hm…books…”
“Why did you bring me all the way in here,” Mei-Feng asked, a bit annoyed. “Are you alright?”
Knight gulped. “Y-yeah. Of course I am,” the Ice Elf said. “Anyway…what are you doing?”
“Hm? What do you mean?” The pink-haired girl asked. “I was looking for you, because you said you we could train together. Don’t you remember?”
“Hm…yeah…I suppose we can do that…” Knight said, sighing inwardly. “Nilvasi did not plan an easy day…”

“So, are you ready to start, Nilvasi,” Mei-Feng called, from across the courtyard.
“Hey, Mei…um…maybe we could do something a little different,” Knight said, placing a hand on his forehead. “Ya know, I’m feeling a little warm. I don’t think I’ll be up to any magic for a little bit. Still…you want my help, so…well, just come at me. I’ll try my best to keep up.”
Mei scratched her head, but thought nothing of it, save for her friends’ health. “Alright, Nil. Here I come!” The young wind-mage unleashed a quick burst of wind, aimed at the Elf.
Knight leaped to the side, and reached down for where he would characteristically have a shuriken, only to find nothing within his grasp. “Crap!” he thought, before he found himself flying into the air from a gust of wind from below.
Taking advantage, Mei-Feng used her magic to launch herself into the sky, to capitalize on her opponents’ vulnerable position, meeting Nilvasi in mid-air and delivering a series of blows that sent her elven opponent crashing into the ground.
“Nilvasi!” Seeing her friend tumbling to the ground startled the young women, as she fluttered down to Earth. “Are you alright!?” she yelled, as she blew the dust away from the landing site of her comrade.
“Yeah…I’m good…just a little…broken,” Knight said, with a pained laugh, reaching out to Mei-Fengs’ extended hand, to pull himself up. “That was…unexpected.”
“Yeah, I’ve been training more with my hand-to-hand for the Tournament,” Mei explained. “You probably are a little sick though. I didn’t think I’d catch you off guard like that. Maybe you need to go get some rest.”
“Yeah…get a rest…I think that’ll be for the best,” the young Elf said, letting the young wind-mage help him to Nilvasis’ quarters.

Knight leaped out of the window of Nilvasis’ room unto a branch outside the home of the Mages Guild, before making his way back along the coast to find Nilvasi dozing in the fading sunlight. “Well aren’t you just a vision,” the Ice Elf half joked.
Though he initially intended to rouse the sleeping woman and let her know her break had come to an end, he opted instead, to simply let her rest, realizing his own odd day was likely her constant. “You probably need this more than I do,” he thought.
With that, he sat next to the sleeping Elf, and watched as the sun turned the sea a dazzling orange-gold. Knight threw Nilvasis’ sleeping form a glance, and grinned, before getting back to his sea-watching as he awaited her awakening to undo her spell.
