Description
Knight dodged another sword strike, swinging his attacker into one of his comrades before throwing him down on the deck of the ship, before he was jumped and bear-hugged by a large pirate.

“Got ya now, Knight!” He gloated, as he tightened his grip on the ice elf.

The Assassin coughed from the pressure, but the hint of a smile still showed on his face, and with a quick shift of his weight sent the pirate tumbling over himself, and giving himself the perfect chance to slip away. “As usual, the same old tricks won’t work, Haden.”

Knight turned around to see a wall of pirates grinning at him, and soon found himself surrounded by them. “Alright, look guys…no need to push…there’s plenty to go around,” he half-joked.

“Yeah, but I’m one greedy chick!” A blonde woman, came barreling through the crowd of toughs. “But that’s why I’m a pirate, now isn’t it,” she said, with a grin and look of excitement etched on her face. “So what do you say…one more round with me for old times?”

Knight couldn’t help but smile at the sight of his old captain, and an eagerness to show her how different things were from three years ago, resulted in his next move. With a powerful leap he cleared the ring if bodies and bounded off into the city of Zenith. “One more round! But only if ya catch me!”

Captain Curio almost laughed, as she debated whether to shoot her former crew-mate in the back while he wasn’t looking, or give in to his demands. She decided that the chase would be slightly more fun, and set off after him, commanding her crew to stay put as they cheered on both Knight and their Captain.

“You won’t get away from me that easily!” Captain Curio chased her friend through the city streets, the difference in their skill evident as the Elvin Assassin weaved in-between the citizens with almost no wasted movement, and the blonde pirate slammed into several people, losing sight of her target a few times before luckily catching him again.

“Wow…maybe I’m just too much, Cap?” Knight called back before launching himself up a stall roof, and onto the roof of the building before sitting down on the edge, smiling down at his “hunter.” “But jolly good show, all the same, Sara.”

Sara smiled, before lowering her head from exhaustion. “Man…good Goddess, you’re fast…and smooth. I almost wish you were more like this when we first found you,” she said, surprised to see Knight already standing in front of her.

“True…but the experience of coming out of ones’ shell was worth it. Even if I was kind of a jerk to you guys at first,” Knight said, taking her hand, with a smile. “So thanks again. For everything, Captain.”

The Pirate Captain blushed slightly as she pulled her hand away. “Ah…it was nothing, really. Truth be told, we weren’t really thinking you’d say yes, and a bunch of times we thought you were going to leave. Glad we finally got you to come around though, Ice-Man.”
“Thanks, Sara. I really do miss hangin’ out with you guys sometimes,” The Elf admitted as the two began walking back towards the ship.

“Well…you know there’s always a place for you on The Blue Sun, Knight. We miss you too.” Sara was blushing lightly, and turned away in hopes Knight wouldn’t be able to tell she was reminiscing about the late nights the two spent together.

“I know, Sara. Believe me, I know,” Knight said, placing an arm on her shoulder as they came back to the harbor district. “One day I will come back. Just…I just need some time to myself, if you know what I mean. I wish there were a better way to say this.”

Sara stopped, confusing Knight but she was grinning. “No, I understand. Look, you’re almost a totally different person than you were a few years ago. You’re different than a lot of your race. I figure that’s something you’re probably struggling with and maybe being on a boat most of the time wasn’t the best way to figure out things. I just hope The Circle or whatever…has been helpful to you.”

“Yeah…yeah it has, Captain. Hey…you’re going to have to be competing in the tournament right?” Sara asked, changing the subject.

“Hm? Yeah…I was thinking of it. How did you know,” Knight asked, surprised that with the distant islands and main lands they were visiting, his old crew would know about the battle. “How’d you know about the tournament?”

“Everyone knows about it, silly,” Sara smirked. “I suppose since Ice Elves don’t interact much not everyone down there was in the know, but at least one of you guy did. Anyway, I asked…because, I was just wanting to wish you luck. I won’t be back until after the tournament is over…”

Knight was a little disheartened to hear that. He’d hoped to be able to show his Captain first-hand his abilities in battle, but understood the life of a pirate, and with a grin, bore the disappointment well. “Thank you, Captain. I’m looking forward to seeing you again…after I win.”

“Confident as always.” Sara gave her former lover a playful punch in the arm. “Still…take care of yourself, out there,” she said, as she reached into her satchel. “And have this…I don’t know if you would use this or not, but…it’s a present,” wrapped in what he saw was a Blue Sun bandanna, was a silver revolver. “I know it doesn’t exactly scream stealth, but--,”

Sara stopped as Knight wrapped the bandanna around his neck, before putting the pistol up to shine in the sun. “No…I love it, Captain. Thank you,” he said, admiring the craftsmanship. “You really didn’t have to do that though.”

“I know,” Sara said, punching Knight again. “I wanted to though.” The two stood in silence for a bit before Sara spoke again. “But…I should get back…and you should get going. You’ve got a tournament to train for. I’ll see you soon though, OK?” Sara put out her hand to shake, which only received a chuckle from Knight who proceeded to hug her tightly.
