In III there actually IS a shadow thing that you have to attempt to throw off that eventually tries to take over all of Albion XD

Oh nice!
There are a few games that have the darkness thing
Kingdom Hearts is one and Zelda Twilight Princess.
I just like the whole idea of being taken into it and you have to find your way out.
Usually you have to find the one you love and that is always a nice touch
