at the last second, i decided to dump the story i had originally started. but the compromise here is that it begins five minutes before the original story.
basically, the gamble is..if this story is a smash over at dimestore, then i get to do the original story as part 2.
now, in a daydreaming moment, the aging thalen demus begins to reflect back on his younger days. the days when he was a frightened amnesiac alien from another dimension..with no shelter, no friends...and absolutely no clue as to who he is or where he comes from.

oh, and he has a bitchin' head wound that would do mick foley proud.
