Description Painted digitally. This has been done for some weeks now, but I keep forgetting to post it up. Something that was fun and fast to do.

Thank you, Debbie! I wanted to get some detail in there, despite how simple I wanted to keep it.

Thank you, Jill! I keep doing all these simple digital pieces because I can work on them off and on and I can just close my laptop when I'm done. I wish I had a bit more time for traditional painting... there's an unfinished piece sitting in the corner of my room that I haven't touched in weeks...

I'm really happy you liked this! Hummingbirds are the sweetest things.

Yes I understan how easy it is to not work on traditional pieces. I made myself buy a small sketchbook and put it by my bed. That is how Eye of the Arabian was started and then Arabian Face followed. There are many who say it is important to draw every day... I have worked on my art through each day of my vacatin and it has been very rewarding...good luck!

Thank you! I'm glad you're getting the chance to draw every day. I used to do that with my sketchbook - it's really something I should pick up again.

Hee, thanks Sarah! I could say the same, though! You're extremely talented with your camera.

Thanks, Tara! We've had a lovely bunch of females drinking near the living room window all summer. I only wish we still had out tobacco plants near the side of the house - last year they grew so tall that I sometimes saw them outside my bedroom window!

I don't think we get hummingbirds in the UK, which is such a shame because they look beautiful!

Really?! I didn't know that. I think we only have the ruby-throated variety here (at least in Manitoba). They all have white throats and bellies and green on their heads and backs. The males get a little red band over their chest when they mature. They're incredibly small and fast and I absolutely love the times that they'll rest on the flower basket hooks in front of the window and just sit for awhile. They're also very territorial over their nectar - so we often see them fighting over the sugar water feeder. If I'm outside when they want to drink, I'll hear them chirping unhappily because they're hungry.

They sounds adorable. I wish we had them in the UK.
