Description
"'Well, I'd hardly finished the first verse,' said the Hatter, 'when the Queen jumped up and bawled out, 'He's murdering Time! Off with his head!'''How dreadfully savage!" exclaimed Alice.
'And ever since that,' the Hatter went on in a mournful tone, 'he wont do a thing I ask! It's always six o' clock now.'"
quill & ink. Among my favorite of all 26 illustrations I did using exerpts from Alice.

I can't stop being impressed by this image! I just love the Mad Hatter's pose. It's so nonchalant. And he looks so classy! Gotta love anything that kills with grace.

hahaha
really cool work with the poses and foreshadowing here. It's an interesting concept -the whole thing is simple but complex. I like that it makes me think..
Your drawing of alice is my fave here, but the background is cool too, I want to imagine a moon-lit forest peeking out of the dark, but at the same time it does very well on it's own, in black. gives more insight into the character and mood than just pure visuals.
thanks! really enjoyed this...
