Description
I hate poems about poems andhow a poem should look and feel and
behave and act and breathe.
I hate poems about the different styles
of structures and forms and metre and
subjects on what constitutes a poem as such.
I hate poems about what feelings
it should conjure, about the delicate
nature of poems and of their history.
I hate poems about the pen strokes
employed, how they looked flowing out, about
even the paper, parchment, elegant or coarse.
I hate poems asking questions on whether
or not a poem can be self-sustaining or self-aware
or some other pseudo-psycho babbling talk.
I hate poems about poems.
God, I really hate this poem.

Well, the teachers get you to start writing poems while you're in school to train you how to write poems, but I totally ignored all their teachings and whatnot and didn't even give poetry some serious thought till later in life, which means, if I would have given it serious thought when I was being taught, I could have benefited from it more, ya know?

Yeah, a lot of the "rules" and structures are just too rigid for me, too.
