Description
I think of all the things I wouldnever do for you and can't seem to
find at least one word to spark the
first line in the supposed long list
that can't even begin. Didn't
bother to satiate anger that failed
to rise but with white tea filled
my cup to ease any previous scars,
absorbing the youth of baby leaves to
heal old wounds.
Paper airplanes on which we wrote
out each other's greatest fears
were set loose in the gusty wind's
might, so fierce, left feeling no pressure,
we all float on, alright, so light.
You tied black balloons around my waist
so I'd never fall down again and blew
kisses my way to remind me how they should
feel, not like the ones she and she and she
misled me to believe were real.
We were to go to a gala but ended up at
a friend's backyard to stare up at the
stars and count how many times our breaths
pushed from our lungs before the sun
shone another morning. We sipped bottled
water from Prague and ate jellied marshmallows
from Japan, plastic rustling sounds the
only disturbance heard. For moments long, we
spoke no words, uttered no sounds and wondered
no thoughts but existed to exist in each other's
presence, to write in our journals the next
day how enraptured we remained, blog to
the world how enthralled we were, so affectionate.
Smushed your cheek into your shoulder to spy
a eye, said, "That beginning feeling, goose bumps
running up your arms and spine, everything said
bringing giggles and pure euphoria experienced at
the outset of a relationship; you never want to
leave their side and everything said is inexplicably
interesting, that feeling, you feel it? You feel it?
Five years doesn't seem to change that none."
I looked up at the sky, said, "My, my, I don't think
we'll ever be done." We counted at least
seven shooting stars that night and death was the
furthest thing on our minds. The taste in my mouth
changed, I attributed to the water. She
read my mind, tasted my tastes. "The fountain
of youth. We're drinking it's water."
I grinned. Eternity became synonymous with our names.

hii
i love this!
p.s. i think the best love poem so far is:
When, in disgrace with fortune and men's eyes,
I all alone beweep my outcast state
And trouble deaf heaven with my bootless cries
And look upon myself and curse my fate,
Wishing me like to one more rich in hope,
Featured like him, like him with friends possess'd,
Desiring this man's art and that man's scope,
With what I most enjoy contented least;
Yet in these thoughts myself almost despising,
Haply I think on thee, and then my state,
Like to the lark at break of day arising
From sullen earth, sings hymns at heaven's gate;
For thy sweet love remember'd such wealth brings
That then I scorn to change my state with kings.
you've got some tough competition.

I love the first stanza in particular... about not finding the words for anger and covering emotion with tea. I do that.
Beautiful. ^.^
