Toril had found her alpha at the crest of a hill in the northern part of the territory. There’d been nothing new to report that day… or so she’d thought until, at the border during her near-paranoid patrols as of late since taking the trade of Warden, she’d encountered a group of Kol.

And they had a dead Skydan.

Aira. She’d head of her, but the two had never interacted. Aira had gone missing some weeks earlier. It was clear from what she could see that the wolf had been mauled by something. Toril went quickly to find Lennart after noting that the three would not cross the border. Upon their return they found the three wolves waiting just shy of the border, solemn and respectful, stopping at the border and explaining the situation: as far as they knew, Aira had been on the northern side of the island when she had died. They believed that a bear had found and killed her. Their alpha—Alva—Malaysia, had dispatched the three of them to deliver her body so that her remains might be honoured as her home pack and family would wish. The interaction left Toril feeling quietly shaken, but it also left a very positive image of the Kol in her mind.
