Description
Nude study in digital paintFinally got round to doing a nude I'd been planning to paint, although by the time I'd finished I had diverged from what I had originally intended... but I think it still works

It is beautiful. i feel your frustration about the computer. When i made the transition from traditional painting to digital many people seem to doubt its authenticity. As i've been here at DA i now know why. There are lots of people out there who know how to use the tools and paint over a pic but if you ask them to draw or paint something without ref they would flail. It's become easier over time to spot the difference. I love your gallery and i'm glad you started the group

I try to use the 'uter as just another medium in my painting arsenal. I happily mix ink, pastel, pencil, acrylic, etc. and people don't mind, but for some reason if i add a PC they suddenly become snobbish like it's not real. Go figure.
Thanks for your comments

oh - it definitely works!!!
The style is amazing - I love the 'ainty' feel to the piece!
Beautiful, stunning and a whole lot of other adjectives!

Many thanks! I love the clarity of your work. Would you consider joining the painted-ladies group [link] and adding several of your pieces there (don't worry about any limits to contributions)?

Thanks - I'd love to! Do you have any specific images in mind? The Warrior Mage image [link] is one I'd definitely add.

Are vectors counted as applicable for 'ainted ladies'?

Yep... it's just photo manips and photos which aren't eligible. To me, vectors are just a digital equiv of pen-n-ink

First off, amazingly dynamic painting, really great work! The only thing that bothers me is the bulge on the left lower arm. It looks very unnatural.
