Description Inbetween Lions and Bears, Tigers are some of coolest characters around.  I decided to put them on a list of top ten Tigers.  These are my favorite tigers for one reason or another.  If you see a tiger you don't find on the list, it was because i forgot they existed, i couldn't find them or i just didn't feel they measured up to this list.

10. Tony the Tiger (Frosted Flakes)

This Frost Flakes Mascot is infamous for his favorite catchphrase "THEY'RE GREAT!".  I remember growing up watching Frosted Flakes commercials. Lately, he's only been in a few commercial promoting a healthy lifestyle.  What can i say, "They're Great" but i'd rather eat a bowl of Captain Crunch instead.

9. Rajah (Aladdin)

Considered Jasmine's only friend, this feline is the Princess's animal companion that is willing to terrify suitors to help his friend.  What boosted Rajah to number 9 was a book "Pet for a Princess" where Rajah was adopted by Jasmine and i'd declare that as cannon.  Although Rajah doesn't do much in these movies, i like that both Aladdin and Jasmine are similar to have animal companions with them.

8. Tigger (Winnie the Pooh)

Tigger from Winnie the Pooh is one of my favorite characters from Winnie the Pooh.  Ever since i saw him in the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, he has bounced around hopping to the next adventure.  My favorite portrayal of this character has to be "The Tigger Movie" where he just wants to find his family, but doesn't realize Pooh and his friends are his family.  The wonderful thing about Tigger is that he's the only one.

7. Rath (Ben 10 series)

LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHIN SCRIBE WIZARD.  RATH DOESN'T LIKE BEING PUT ON NUMBER SEVEN ON YOUR LIST.  RATH IS BETTER THAN ALL THESE LOSER TIGERS.  HE HAS FOUGHT VARIOUS ENEMIES AND ALWAYS DOING IT IN THE STYLE OF "LET ME TELL YA SOMETHIN ________(Name of enemy). RATH HOPES YOU HAVE A GOOD REASON YOU PUT HIM ON NUMBER 7 INSTEAD OF ONE?

6. Tygra (Thundercats)

The second in command to the Thundercats, Tygra helped design many buildings that you see on Thundercats, including their base The Cat's Lair.  He was my second favorite Thundercat (After Lion-O).  He had a great design and was always amazing to watch.  One of my favorite episodes with him was "The Mossland Monster" where he had to fend for himself.  Sadly, I disappointed when he didn't appear in more episodes after that.

5. Tiger Claw (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)

There have been many versions of Tiger claw, i'm focusing on the 2012 version of the character.  I always found Tiger Claw's character fascinating in this series.  From how he and Alopex got turned into mutants to Tiger Claw serving as another villain in Shredder's forces.  Tiger Claw is a force to be reckoned with.  With his sword and gun that can fire both ice and fire bullets, nothing will stand in this tiger's way.

4. Vitaly (Madagascar 3)

I know this character isn't anyone's favorites, but the fascinating part about Vitaly is his backstory.  Being able to fit in a small ring is one thing, but having that ring on fire is pretty scary.  His story is probably one of the reasons i like the third Madagascar movie so much.  What also adds to his likability is that he is voiced by Brian "Breaking Bad" Cranston.  Couldn't get any better than this....OR COULD IT?

3. Hobbes (Calvin and Hobbes)

I grew up with not only the Garfield books, but the Calvin and Hobbes series as well.  That would explain why i like a lot of feline characters.  Anyways, Hobbes is Calvin's stuff tiger that comes to life thru Calvin's imagination.  From Tackling Calvin when he gets home from school to walking on a tree over a river of water, there's nothing this tiger won't do.  Though, he is a sucker for Tuna Fish Sandwich.

No Hobbes NO *Gets Tackled losing shoes in the process*

2. Tigress (Kung Fu Panda)

I was in a pickle between my #2 and #1.  I decided on Tigress being my second favorite Tiger because of her kung fu skills.  Considered to be one of Shifu's best students and leads the Furious Five, Tigress has a determination to be the best to impress her master.  When Po comes to the Jade Palace, Tigress is easy to dismiss Po's skills, but once she sees Po's skills in defeating Tai Lung, she is impressed by his skills.  My favorite portrayal of Tigress comes from Kung Fu Panda 2 where she purposefully leaves Po behind when he is emotionally compromised due to his history with Lord Shen.  Tigress is calm but fierce.  If Po wasn't the dragon warrior, then i'd see Tigress being the Dragon Warrior after him.

1. Shere Khan (Jungle Book)

Out of all the tigers on this list, Shere Khan has to be one of my favorite Tigers ever to be put onscreen.  He is one of the most feared creatures in the jungle and for very good reason.  What puts him on top is his portrayal in the Disney movies.  He has this polite, yet terrifying attitude that puts fear into the other animals in the jungle.

But what do you think?  Any Tigers you felt i left out on the list?  Any questions about why i put certain characters where on this list?  Let me know in the comments section.
