I'm not sure. I think it mainly happens when the air or ground is moist. I'm not sure what other factors play a role as such.

off topic: i wonder if anyone got pics/video of todays belly landing at newark my closes major airport. they shut down the airport for a while which created hour and a half landing delays.

it wasnt a major thing and they didnt even talk about it on the news here much. but if the plane flipped over and people died then it would be the top story LOL
