I drew this at the park on Fathers day at this Orchestra thing3h...Because I love Chip..And lately, I've been feeling pretty bad for ALL my characters..Almost like I REALLY understand them for the first time, yes?

The scene in my head for this is that well, prolly they were stuck out in the rain or something in the middle of some kind of expedition an neither of them had money for a bus fair or a taxi or anything (and since they took a taxi to get here, Chip didn't have his bike), so they prolly had to walk a REALLY long way home in the freezing rain--not quite sleet or snow. I dunno--but it's like I always picture it bieng November over there in his city or whatever. Anyhow, it was prolly really tiring or whatever, and well, thwy probably were both completely bummed out by the time they got back to his apartment. And so, Khist falls asleep or whatever.

But the thing is--Chip is just really upset in general becuase at one point he even ADMITS to himself that he loves her--but she's unknowingly regected him so many times, he's forced to supress his feelings. ALL the time...and it's only now starting to get to him because...well, he's always been like that. It's just at this point it just...it just hurts, y'know? So, in this scene, Khist is falling asleep all happy and content and all, smiling, wearing Chip's jacket in his bed, and still she doesn't really see him as anything more than a friend. She doesn't understand that Chip is really reaching out to her in all the little things he does. And also--Khist is like, really into the current dude she's dating and is so confident that she loves him so much...y'know, and she gets engaged and stuff. And this is like a rare moment that Chip lets his complete gaurd slip and stop bieng so happy for her...because, even if he is, it doesn't really matter--still leaves him miserable.
